Baking Transformations

The Baking Transformations feature in Foxel enables users to apply and finalize transformations to mesh objects.

When this operation is performed, the local scaling and rotation values of the selected mesh objects are integrated directly into the vertices of the mesh. As a result, the visual appearance of the object remains unchanged, while the underlying data is updated to reflect these transformations.

After baking, the object's rotation values are reset to 0, and the scale values are reset to 1. This provides a clean slate for any future transformations, ensuring that the object behaves predictably in your project.

If the selected mesh object is a Mesh Primitive, it will be converted to a Mesh Layer during the baking process.

Important

This feature is exclusively available for Mesh Assets.
