Activating Textures

Understanding how to activate textures is crucial for effective mesh modeling.

An object is called active if it is the only selected object or, if more than one object is selected, the first selected object. This object is significant because it is the one displayed in the Inspector, allowing you to view and modify its properties.

The active texture refers specifically to the texture of an active Mesh Layer. It is important to note that only one texture can be active at a time. This means that when you select a different Mesh Layer, the previously active texture will be deactivated, and the new one will become active.

Note

Textures associated with Mesh Primitives cannot be activated or edited.
