Creating Objects

Creating a new empty object in Foxel is a straightforward task that can be accomplished in two different ways.

Creating via the Main Menu

  1. Go to Object > Create in the main menu.
  2. From the submenu, select the type of object you wish to create. This action will also activate the new object.

Creating via the Hierarchy Panel

  1. Access the Hierarchy Panel located in the right sidebar.
  2. Click the Create button to reveal a dropdown menu. Create
  3. Choose the desired object type from the dropdown to create and activate the new object.

Utilizing the Hierarchy Panel is an efficient way to create objects while maintaining a clear overview of your asset's structure.

Note

If there was an active object prior to creating a new one, the new object will be created as a child of the same parent node.

Deleting Objects

To delete objects, select them and either use Object > Delete from the main menu (default shortcut Shift+Del) or click the Delete button located below the Hierarchy Panel.

This action will delete the selected object along with all of its child objects. If you change your mind, you can easily undo the deletion.
