Creating Minis from Selections
You can create a new Mini and add it to the active Mini Set from voxel or pixel selections. The generated Mini is limited to a size of 32x32 pixels and a height of 32. Any dimensions beyond this will be cropped.
Creating a Mini from Voxel Selection
- Select the voxels you want to create the Mini from. Refer to Selecting Voxels for guidance on how to select the desired voxels.
- Navigate to the menu and select Voxel > Create Mini from Selection.
- Adjust the settings in the dialog that appears.
- Click OK to create and add the Mini to the active Mini Set.
During this process, the 3D voxel data is converted to 2D pixel data by viewing the selected voxels from the specified direction and using the first encountered voxels for the height information stored in the pixels.
Create Mini from Selection Dialog Settings
🔺 Figure 1 The Create Mini from Selection dialog.
- Name: Defines an optional name for the new Mini.
- Direction: Sets the direction from which the voxel data is processed.
- Flatten: If toggled, the generated Mini will not include height information.
- Output Size: This field is read-only and provides information on the size of the solid area of the Mini.
- Max Height: This field is read-only and indicates the maximum height of the generated pixel data.
Note
Upon opening the dialog box, the Direction setting is automatically adjusted to align with the closest direction facing the camera.
Creating a Mini from Pixel Selection
Creating a Mini from a pixel selection is similar to the voxel method, but the dialog settings do not include a direction option. Follow the same steps as above, adjusting the settings as needed to create your Mini.
