Mesh Asset โ
A Mesh Asset is created by importing an external 3D mesh file into Foxel.
Mesh Assets allow you to bring non-voxel geometry into your project and use it as source data for voxel-based workflows.
How It Works โ
When you import a supported mesh file, Foxel creates a Mesh Asset from its geometry. The imported data can then be viewed, managed, and used inside your project.
Mesh Assets themselves are not edited in the same way as voxel objects. Instead, they are mainly used as imported reference geometry or as input for voxelization.
Key Features โ
Imported from mesh files: Mesh Assets are created from external 3D file formats.
Reference geometry: They can be used as source data inside your project.
Voxelization workflow: Mesh Assets can be voxelized for use in voxel-based scenes and assets.
Project integration: Once imported, they become part of your Foxel project like any other asset.
Typical Uses โ
Mesh Assets are commonly used for:
- importing existing 3D models into Foxel
- using mesh geometry as a reference
- converting mesh-based models into voxel data
- speeding up workflows that start from external 3D content
Mesh Assets are useful whenever you want to bring outside geometry into Foxel and turn it into part of your voxel workflow.
