Pixel Tool Point Mode โ€‹

Pixel Tool Point Mode

Point Mode is the most direct pixel editing mode.

It is best for precise changes and for building or removing structure one step at a time.

How It Works โ€‹

In Point Mode, the clicked position becomes the edit target. Depending on the active tool, Foxel can:

  • create a pixel
  • remove a pixel
  • paint a pixel
  • assign a material
  • select a pixel

Dragging can be used for continuous editing.

How to Use It โ€‹

  1. Click to edit a single pixel.
  2. Click and drag to edit continuously.

Straight Lines โ€‹

You can also use Point Mode to edit a straight line between two points.

  1. Click to set the start point.
  2. Hold Shift and move the mouse to preview the line.
  3. Click to apply the active tool along that line.

Notes โ€‹

  • Hold Shift while dragging to constrain freehand editing to 90ยฐ angles.
  • Use Brush Mode if you want to edit more broadly and less precisely.

When to Use It โ€‹

Use Point Mode when you need maximum control or when other modes would affect too much data.
