Shared Import Settings Profiles

Import Settings Profiles store reusable asset import configurations.

They help keep import settings consistent across multiple assets and projects. For more information about importing assets, see Importing Assets.

Accessing Shared Import Settings Profiles

Shared Import Settings Profiles can be accessed through File > Shared Files > Import Settings Profiles.

File Location

Shared Import Settings Profiles are stored in:

Documents\Foxel\Shared\ImportSettings

File Format

Import Settings Profiles are stored as .fxlimp files.

Activating an Import Settings Profile

To use an Import Settings Profile for asset import, it must be activated.

Select the profile, open its context menu, and choose Activate for Asset Import.

The activated profile is then used as the current import configuration for asset import operations.

Managing Import Settings Profiles

Import Settings Profiles are created and managed directly inside Foxel.

They allow you to save commonly used import setups so you can quickly switch between different import workflows.

Importing and Exporting

Import Settings Profiles are managed directly inside Foxel. They are not imported from or exported to external formats.
