Shared Import Settings Profiles

Import Settings Profiles are crucial for managing the import configurations of assets within Foxel. These profiles allow users to save specific import settings, ensuring consistency and efficiency when importing multiple assets. Managing Import Settings Profiles

Import Settings Profiles are managed through the Import Settings Profiles Tab of the Profiles Panel.

Activating Import Settings Profiles

To use a profile for import, it must be activated. To activate a profile, select it and right-click to open the context menu, then choose Activate for Asset Import.

File Location

The default import profile is saved as:
Documents\Foxel\default.fxlimp

All other custom Import Settings Profiles are stored in the following directory:
Documents\Foxel\Shared\ImportSettings

File Format

Import Settings Profiles are saved as basic INI files with the file extension .fxlimp.

Importing and Exporting Import Settings Profiles

Import Settings Profiles cannot be imported or exported. They are designed to be created and managed directly within the Foxel environment, ensuring that users have full control over their import configurations without the need for external file manipulation.
