Capturing the Viewport

Capturing the viewport allows you to save the current view of your scene as an image file. This feature is useful for creating snapshots of your work or for sharing your designs with others. Follow the steps below to capture the viewport effectively.

Steps to Capture the Viewport

  1. Set Up Your Scene
Ensure that your scene is properly set up with the necessary lights and camera. Adjust the lighting to achieve the desired effect and position the camera to frame your scene appropriately.

  2. Activate the Camera
Navigate to the View Options Bar and select the camera you wish to use for rendering from the Camera dropdown. Render Dialog

  3. Set Frame via Timeline
Navigate to the Timeline and set the frame you want to capture. This allows you to capture specific moments in your animation or scene.

  4. Render > Capture View
Go to the menu and select Render > Capture View. This will initiate the capture process.

  5. Enter Filename
When prompted, enter a filename for your captured image. Choose a descriptive name to help you identify the file later.

Once you complete these steps, the current view of the selected camera will be captured and saved to the specified file. You can now use this image for presentations, documentation, or sharing with others.
