Filtering Colors and Materials
You can limit the amount of colors and materials displayed in the Color Selector, Color Panel, Material Selector, Material Panel, and the Color Ribbon by using a filter. This feature helps streamline your workflow by allowing you to focus on specific colors and materials relevant to your current task.
Filter Modes
The following filter modes are available for both colors and materials:
- Project: Displays all colors or materials used in the project without any filters applied.
- Asset: Shows only the colors or materials that are utilized by the currently opened asset. This is particularly useful when you want to use a subset of colors for the current asset and for new objects you plan to create within that asset.
- Object: Filters the colors or materials to display only those used by the objects currently selected in the scene. This mode limits the color or material options even further, showing only the colors or materials that the selected objects use, which helps in maintaining consistency in your modeling.
- Favs: Displays a curated list of your favorite colors or materials for quick access. Favorites can be managed through the color panel.
Applying Filters
To apply a filter, click the button located at the top of the Color/Material Panels and Selectors. Alternatively, you can right-click on the Color Ribbon and select the filter option from the context menu.
