Selection, Stamp, and Eyedropper

These supporting workflows become especially useful once you move beyond basic drawing.

Selecting Pixels

Use the Select Tool when later commands should affect only part of a Pixel Layer.

Selections are important because many transform, operation, and filter commands use this rule:

• if pixels are selected, only the selection is affected
• otherwise, the full selected layer is affected

Stamp Tool

The Stamp Tool applies the pattern of the selected Mini to the active pixel grid.

A simple workflow is:

1. activate a pixel grid
2. choose the Stamp Tool
3. select the Mini you want to use
4. adjust the stamp options if needed
5. move the cursor over an existing solid pixel to preview the result
6. click to apply the Mini

Stamp Tool options:

Icon	Option	Description
	Rotate	Rotates the Mini in 90° steps.
	Flip Horizontally	Flips the Mini horizontally.
	Flip Vertically	Flips the Mini vertically.
	Repeat Horizontally	Repeats the Mini pattern horizontally.
	Repeat Vertically	Repeats the Mini pattern vertically.
	Elevate	Uses the Mini's height information when applicable.

Eyedropper

The Eyedropper samples color and material from an existing pixel so you can continue working with the same settings.

You can also use Alt + click as a quick sampling shortcut while editing.

Practical Workflow

A common pattern is:

1. select a region
2. sample an existing color or material if needed
3. stamp or paint the target area
4. continue with height edits if the result should gain relief
