Shared Files Overview โ
Shared files in Foxel are resources that can be used across multiple projects. Unlike project files, they are not tied to a single project, which makes them useful for building reusable libraries and presets.
All shared files are stored in Documents\Foxel\Shared\.
Accessing Shared Files โ
Some shared file types have dedicated workspace pages:
All other shared file types can be accessed through File > Shared Files and the corresponding submenu entries.
It is recommended to manage shared files through Foxel's user interface instead of the file explorer so that changes are handled correctly.
Key Benefits of Shared Files โ
- Reuse: Make resources available across all projects.
- Consistency: Keep colors, materials, presets, and reusable content organized in one place.
- Performance: Most shared resources use Foxel's own file formats for efficient loading.
