Exporting Minis โ€‹

Mini Sets and Minis can be exported in different ways depending on whether you want to export a whole Mini Set or only selected Minis.

Exporting Mini Sets โ€‹

Whole Mini Sets are exported from the Minis page of the workspace.

  1. Open the Minis page.
  2. Select the Mini Set or Mini Sets you want to export.
  3. Right-click the selection.
  4. Choose Export from the context menu.

If you export a single Mini Set, Foxel asks for a filename and export format. If you export multiple Mini Sets, Foxel asks for a destination folder.

Exporting Selected Minis โ€‹

Individual Minis are exported from the Mini Editor.

  1. Open the Mini Editor.
  2. Select the Minis you want to export.
  3. Right-click the selection.
  4. Choose Export Selected from the context menu.
  5. Enter a filename and choose an export format.

All selected Minis are exported into a single file.

Export Formats โ€‹

The same export formats are available for both whole Mini Sets and selected Minis.

Exporting as Images โ€‹

When exported as an image, the result is always a 512 ร— 512 image arranged as a grid of 16 ร— 16 Mini slots.

Standard image formats only store color information. Height and material data are not included.

Exporting as Heightmap Assets โ€‹

Minis can also be exported as a Heightmap asset.

In this format, the result is a 256 ร— 256 Heightmap containing up to 64 Minis, because each Mini has a fixed size of 32 ร— 32 pixels. If more than 64 Minis are exported, only the first 64 are included.

Each exported Mini becomes a separate Pixel Layer in the generated Heightmap asset.
