Upsample

The Upsample operation generates Level of Detail (LOD) voxel data for the currently displayed LOD by replacing it with an upsampled version of the next lower LOD. Each voxel in the lower resolution is scaled up by a factor of two, meaning that one low-resolution voxel will be transformed into eight voxels in the higher resolution. This process effectively enhances the detail of your voxel grid while maintaining the overall shape and structure.

Important Note

This operation is applicable only when Manual LOD is turned on for the selected Voxel Layer. You can enable this option in the Inspector.

Steps to Upsample

  1. Activate a voxel grid.
  2. Ensure that the Voxel Layer of the voxel grid has Manual LOD turned on.
  3. Set the LOD that you want to generate; it must be LOD0, LOD1, or LOD2.
  4. Navigate to Voxel > Operations > Upsample.

Once the operation is executed, the current LOD will be updated with the newly generated voxel data.
