Beauty View

Beauty View is a quick way to switch the Scene View from the simpler default editing view to a higher-quality preview configuration.

It is especially useful when you want to inspect lighting, materials, and presentation more clearly.

Why This Matters

The default view is useful for simple editing, but it is not always the best view for judging how materials look under lighting.

Beauty View exists for that reason.

Use it when you want a clearer preview of the final look without changing the underlying scene content.

Where To Find It

Beauty View is toggled in the Header Bar above the Scene View.

Turn it on when you want a more polished preview.

Turn it off when you want to return to the simpler editing view.

What Beauty View Does

Beauty View switches the Scene View to a higher-quality preview configuration.

This can include effects such as:

  • Improved lighting
  • Post-processing
  • A more presentation-focused view setup

The exact result depends on the current view and render settings, but the purpose is always the same: to make the scene easier to judge visually.

When To Use It

Use Beauty View when you want to inspect:

  • How materials react to light
  • How roughness, metallic, alpha, or emissive changes appear
  • How the scene looks in a more polished preview
  • Whether the current look feels right before returning to normal editing

This is especially useful after changing colors, materials, lighting, or presentation settings.

Keep Editing And Preview Separate

A useful habit is to switch between the two views depending on what you are doing:

  • Use the default view for simple, fast editing.
  • Use Beauty View when you want to judge lighting, materials, and presentation.

This keeps the editing workflow clear while still giving you a better preview when you need it.
