Edit and Organize Mini Sets
Mini Sets and Minis are managed on the Minis page of the workspace.
From there, you can browse Mini Sets, open a set, organize the Minis it contains, and edit each Mini in the Mini Editor.
Why This Matters
Reusable detail becomes much more useful when it is organized well.
A Mini library is not only about creating Minis. It is also about browsing, editing, reordering, and maintaining them cleanly over time.
Good organization makes Minis easier to find and reuse later.
Where Mini Sets Are Managed
Mini Sets and Minis are managed on the Minis page of the workspace.
On that page:
- The left side shows available Mini Sets.
- The right side shows the Minis of the currently open set.
Use this page to choose which Mini Set you want to work with and to browse the Minis inside it.
Opening the Mini Editor
You can open the Mini Editor in several ways:
- Double-click a Mini Set on the left side of the Minis page.
- Select a Mini Set, then click Edit below the Mini list on the right side.
- Double-click a Mini on the right side.
The Mini Editor opens in a separate window.
Managing Minis
Inside the Mini Editor, the Minis of the current Mini Set are shown on the left side.
There you can:
- Activate a Mini by clicking it.
- Select multiple Minis using
CtrlorShift. - Create a new Mini.
- Delete selected Minis.
- Import Minis.
- Reorder Minis by dragging and dropping them.
- Organize Minis to remove gaps.
- Export selected Minis.
These tools help keep the Mini Set clean as it grows.
Editing a Mini
The active Mini is edited in the main area of the Mini Editor.
The Mini Editor is similar to the Heightmap Editor, but adapted for Mini data.
You use tools to edit the Mini’s:
- Pixels
- Colors
- Materials
- Heights
This makes a Mini a compact reusable 2D-plus-height detail element, not just a flat image.
Channels
Because Minis are edited in 2D, the Mini Editor provides different display channels.
Available channels include:
- Color
- Material
- Height
You can switch the channel in the upper-right area of the editor.
Use the channel view that matches what you are currently editing or checking.
Color Channel
The Color channel shows the Mini’s color data.
Use it when editing or checking visible color.
Material Channel
The Material channel shows the Mini’s material data.
Use it when checking which material is assigned to each pixel.
Height Channel
The Height channel shows the Mini’s height data.
Use it when editing or checking the relief information stored in the Mini.
Important Differences From the Heightmap Editor
The Mini Editor is similar to the Heightmap Editor, but it is not identical.
Important differences include:
- Pixel selection is not available.
- Height editing uses a dedicated Height Tool.
- The Move Tool shifts the entire Mini at once.
- Pixels that move out on one side wrap around to the opposite side.
These differences matter because Minis are smaller reusable detail elements rather than full Heightmap assets.
Useful Editor Operations
The Mini Editor provides several utility operations.
You can:
- Raise and lower height values with the Height Tool.
- Flatten the Mini to remove height variation.
- Flip horizontally or vertically.
- Rotate by 90 degrees.
- Use undo and redo.
- Revert changes.
These operations make it easier to clean up and adjust Minis after creation or import.
